Random Photos from this week

Like most of the rest of the country, this week we got some snow. Only about 2", but, it was enough snow to take a photo in! For some reason, my camera takes snow photos blue. I guess I need to research how to change this. But, for now - enjoy the blue snow photos!

Hosta running through the packed down snow.

He loves to run under the bushes by the deck and pop out the other side. Here, he's popping out. He thinks this is great and will run laps doing this. I don't quite understand the facination - but hey, it's super funny. I just wish I was able to get it on video...

Here is Ellie and Hos patiently waiting for their food. Or rather, Ellie is glaring at me not knowing why I'm taking annoying photos at 6 am instead of feeding them, and Hos, is always willing to do whatever! I think it kinda looks like he's floating in this photo because of how they are spaced out.
Hos loves to sit on the step of my porch and just watch the world go by. I was trying to get a photo of the white spot on his chest, but his bling bling collar and KSDS ID is still kinda big on him. (This week he is 14# and 14" tall. He's 11 weeks old but is now the size Ellie was when I brought her home at 8 weeks).

Hos is growing - here he is with Ellie. I think it's funny how it looks like he is concentrating SOOOO hard on holding his sit. (Usually, when I try to take photos, he likes to come up and try to lick the lens!)

Having fun

Today was one of those days where we got to stay home and chill for the majority of the day. So, the puppies celebrated by playing.

Hosta running...

Hiding in the doorway.

Movin' on up

This morning when Hosta got out of his kennel, I noticed he was getting rather large for the little kennel. So, I planned on setting up the larger kennel.

Apparently, he thought he needed a bigger kennel too - because after his lunch, he went into Ellie's kennel, curled up and went to sleep.

Lost-a Hosta

Last seen: In the kitchen playing with Ellie while I was baking banana bread.

Clues: Ellie comes to me to "tattletale" that Hos isn't playing with her anymore.

My reaction: He couldn't have gone far, all the rooms are blocked off. Did he somehow get past the gates without me hearing it and get in one? Did I close him in the pantry? Where could that little guy have gone?

Beginning to get a little bit panicked as I just can't find him. I looked under couches, tables, behind the curtains, checked every room even though the gates were still up. I checked all the cabinets too.

Still no luck - where o where has my little puppy gone?

Then, I finally check one last place...

I guess I should have looked their first. He definitely loves his kennel.

More cute pictures

I just can't stop taking pics of the two of them, they are just too stinkin' cute!
Ellie blinking from the flash, laying on her dog bed in the corner of my room, and Hosta curled up as tightly as possibly to her.

I like this one, because it looks like Ellie is protecting him as he is curled up in her feet.

Doing lots of growing.

I've had Hosta 3 weeks today, and he's now officially 3 squares big! And, I've had to let out his collar 2x since he came home. My little guy is growing up!

Baby, it's COLD outside

so, I'll just sit by the fire (er, heater) and warm my fuzzy paws.

The call we won't be getting.

Fellow county puppy raiser, Becka, who has Trego, got the call this week that Trego (and all the counties minus Ellie) will be heading back to formal training in January. Becka shares her thoughts way better than I ever could.

[My sister with Ellie (on the left) and Trego (on the right) when they were only 10 weeks old.]

Ellie and Trego were best buddies for the first year of their lives and then Becka and Trego moved to California. That didn't matter, it was fun following Trego's adventures - and my what adventures did she have! Good luck Trego, Doniphan, and the rest of the counties - it'll be fun to see what your next adventure will be!

And, yes, I didn't think I would be, but I'm rather bummed I won't be getting the recall call. I love my Ells and I'm so thrilled she'll be with me, and I'm so excited to see all her siblings go on to do great things. GOOOOOO Counties! Your sis will be cheering you on (as loud as she can, considering how scary cheering sections are! *grin*)
